Ken was pretty much abandoned at the apartments by his family. For a time he was able to get around until his emphysema got too bad. He would leave once a day at around 6 p.m. and come back with a six pack of beer and some Chester's Fried Chicken from the Quik stop. I could hear his oxygen tanks wheels grinding across the rock parking lot. He told stories about how he played music when he was young but you'd never believe that now by just looking at him. Before he finally moved out, a daughter came back into his life. He seemed pretty happy after that.
